Am I waiting for a big win?

Stocks and horses, invest and bet
What am I doing, all this doesn’t sound great

What is gambling, I went on to google
Addiction and easy money, Oh now need to noodle

Is it only about winning the checks and the Joneses
How about the enjoyment & diversion that it possesses

Tell me the last time your brain was on fire
And you felt the excitement that you admire

Winning and losing is part of life
We all gamble at some point of time

If it was that easy making the money,
Everyone would have grabbed it, what say honey!

They say it’s addictive, Slowly and gradually you can go into debt
I say it’s exciting, You just have to place that bet.

Lately my life – a little more fun,
Day goes by easy without even moving my bun

The Great Indian Court

Recently, while rambling through the Laws, Rights, Justice, and other legal stuff. I wonder – If there are bylaws written for everything then why people need to go to the court, and with court here I mean THE GREAT COURT OF JUSTICE. Why do we even have a court of this kind? And if the court of justice relies on the laws and evident, then why it is not called the Court of Law. Well, everything sure has its reason. But with every thought comes a fancy poem, here is one for this one.

For those who believe exist
a real court of justice.

Prolonged the Laws
which our world follows.

Interesting would be to know,
Do we have The Court of Justice or
it’s The Court of Laws.

Understand the Law.

Sure, everyone agrees that it is extraordinarily important for us to understand Law & Order to the way of life. Before I start this post, in my fairness I declare that I am neither a Lawyer, nor do I understand Law like a professional. This writing is just another script which can guide you through the right side of the law.

Recently I came across few legal acts of which I thought people aren’t aware. I believe, a women today needs more security than ever before, she needs to know what to do if she is pulled over. Or any person who is going through the kind of drama in life, which needs more than emotional understanding, can help from the law specifics.

For an instance, if you are frustrated in life and planning a suicide? Wait, you need to think again. According to the Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code Suicide Is Legal in India subject to the careful planning and execution. In case any person fails to die, the person will be prosecuted.

Another significant law that every women needs to know is Right to No Arrest. According to a Supreme Court ruling, a woman cannot be arrested or questioned after sunset and before sunrise. Even if there is a woman constable accompanying the officers, the police can’t arrest a woman at night. In case the woman has committed a serious crime, the police requires to get it in writing from the magistrate explaining why the arrest is necessary during the night.
So my ladies, next time you are driving late in the night, and a policeman stops you, you know what you have to do.

Another important law is Land Acquisition Act, 1894 according to which, the Government can forcefully acquire your land anytime under the grounds of constructing public buildings in the name of public welfare. I know this one is unfair, but still it’s a Law.

Besides, there are several unreasonable laws in this country.

Everyone knows The Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 under which you cannot manufacture, sell or consume any alcohol. This has no relevance with you until you are in Gujarat State of India because Alcohol is a complete ban here with an exemption of 30 days special permit to Foreigners and NRI. For that reason, people also named Gujarat  as a dry state.

It’s not just Gujarat, Maharashtra has a fancy Law as well. The next time you visit a bar in Maharashtra, and someone asks for an id-proof, don’t praise yourself in-front of the mirror thinking how young you look. Because this silly Law in Maharashtra positions that the legal drinking age is 25 years and above. The real clash here is how a citizen can have the right to elect the Government at 18 years of age but is not considered mature enough to decide whether he/she wants to consume alcohol or not. Foolish, isn’t it!

Last but not the least, deals with cohabitation. The dilemma of Live-in relationship is in trend. Though our country has not accepted the live-in culture yet, as long as both the adults are ready to stay together, it is totally legal to stay Live-in. Furthermore, live-in relationships are considered to be equal to marriage if certain conditions are met. This act is aimed to protect women under the Domestic Violence Act.

All for now, this post explains few examples framing the legal side of day-today events happening around us. So the next time you’re caught up in something, do find out if you are on the right side of the Law. It should surely help in your decision.

Trip to Sula Vineyards

The Wine Rule
SEE. SWIRL. SNIFF. SIP. SAVOR.

I drink wine when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not in a hurry and drink it when I am, otherwise I never touch it – unless I am thirsty.
-Lily Bollinger

At long last, I’ve sipped wine whilst in vineyards!

Wine has been produced for centuries, and if you’re interested in learning about wine production, then visiting vineyards should definitely top your travel list. I recently visited Sula Vineyards, Nasik with my husband on a weekend. The trip was brilliant, those walks around the perfectly charming vineyards and the green surroundings are memories of a lifetime. Unwinding and relaxing has never been easier.

While planning my visit I had a hard time picking between The Beyond and Heritage Village for our overnight stay, in the end decided on staying at Beyond and luckily, I got a booking there. I would definitely recommend staying at The Beyond by Sula, although it’s little far from the Sula vineyards but it’s indeed an amazing stay to experience.

We started our journey at 8 in the morning from Pune, it took us around 5 hours to reach our destination. We were too hungry by the time we reached, so our first move was to eat our lunch at their multi-cuisine all-day restaurant. Food was average, pasta was exceptional, or maybe I was hungry. The resort is fine designed and well-maintained, surrounded by colorful flowers and huge green yards. In my suggestion, viewing the golden sunset from the open-air infinity pool would be one of the best things to do at the resort.

One thing to plan beforehand is The Epic Vineyard Tour. The journey from grape to glass is something you don’t want to miss on. During weekends, because of surge people have to wait a lot to get a tour, so make sure to book it as soon as you reach there. It runs every hour between 11:30 am and 5:30 pm. We got a free tour as a benefit of staying at The Beyond, else the costs generally depend on the number of wines you’d like to sample.

The excursion begins with a verbal presentation about the history of Sula, followed by a visit to the cellars where the wine-making process is explained in detail.  In the cellars, the temperature is always kept cool to get the perfect taste. The wine tasting referred to at the end of each tour is where you compare different wines and learn about identifying the variety of wines. Wine Bars are well fashioned and you literally learn a lot about wine here.

After finishing the wine tour, we explored the famous eatery – Little Italy, which serves traditional Italian food and wines. It has a relaxed balcony setting, facing the Sula’s estate vineyards, which creates a beautiful sight. Late in the evening, we intended back to the resort. The salient lighting in the night, made the place look even more gorgeous.

It’s basically a one-day-trip-kind-of-place, but if you plan to stay longer and want to explore more, you can consider visiting Soma village and vineyards, which is located in between Sula Vineyards and Boyond by Sula. As seen from outside, it would definitely be worth checking out, lest you’re looking for a change from Sula.

All for now!

Boundless & Infinite!

I want to walk through something wild, something courageous, something true. I want to stay away from gadgets. I want to sit by the window when it rains and read books. I want to live simply. I want to pretend when I want to. I want to listen to my body. I want to write and paint. I want to fall asleep when the moon is high. I want to shout a loud. I want to love someone. I want to wake up slowly one morning with no place to rush off. I want to have tea and not coffee. I want to watch movies. I want to ignore some people. I want to light a candle and pray for peace. I want to go to the beach in the rains. I want to climb mountains. I want to explore the nature and walk through the wild. I want to have the luxury of living the life. I want to because I want to.

My story shouldn’t be calm, but boundless and infinite.

Exploding Technology

Today I lettered a new thing, actually a new type of writing and typing. Short-End, one of my associates Sanjeev introduced me to this practice. Long back in time, the Short-End kind of keying was too trendy, in which a person had to off pat the symbols, basically the shapes for any specific word. For example: let’s say the symbol hashtag (#) is a pattern for word ‘because’. Now every time I want to write the word ‘because’ I would use the character assigned to it. And following this custom I’ll ultimately note down the entire script so as to have detailed draft of any talk or a discussion penned as quickly as possible.

When I go back in time, 20 years ago, life seems challenging in lot of ways. At that time, there used to be no recorders, and there were no voice triggered systems, and not just that computers used to be a dream for normal people. Typewriters were in fashion then, with which you were not allowed to make mistakes, because a small blunder would then ruin your entire document as there were no delete or undo button in that machine. Life like that is unimaginable for us. I mean seriously, with having pocket computers all day and the facility of voice controlled systems surrounding us, I really doubt if we would ever be able to survive without the culture that we are living in right now.

Technology has not just advanced itself but also evolved humans in a crazy way. Today, our lives spin around a torrent of status updates, and 10 years back there were no Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. I reason that the power of technology is exponential, and the world I am living in, is better than any other.

Cheers to the power of Tech!

What’s your plan?

Hour by hour, minute by minute
Clock hands are rushing in all possible unit

Emails and notifications surrounds all through the day
Can I stop dashing and find another way

Slow me down, take me aback
I need to breathe and have some chat

Here and there, in top most gear
Where am I going, I don’t have it clear

Let me say it, I am feeling awkward
Because there is no way, I can be like a bird

Well, this is life, I have realized
I take out time to see the sunrise

Admiring the nature and feeling the rain
Helps me get rid of stress and pain

You can be the same, explore the insane
The world is huge, what’s your plan?

Micro to Nano to Pico!

Acquisitions and mergers have become an indispensable part of the corporate, and why not any investment (the logical one) would always bring more value and occasions to the organization. While thinking of logical investments, I consider Microsoft. In the last couple of weeks, I read some articles that Microsoft is planning to acquire LinkedIn. Well, that’s some news.

I always believed that important decisions generally have the more risks, are the most visible and brings the highest rewards. Microsoft believes the same and that’s why their list of decisions doesn’t seem pause, this time it’s LinkedIn. When I envisage window’s any acquisition, it takes me back in time to the year 2013 when the company acquired Nokia’s phone business. Microsoft was always about software and constantly maintained its distance from hardware manufacturing. Then, why did Ballmer think about having their own hardware? In that year smartphones were extremely in trend, he would have realized the importance of playing in that imperative market, and hence planned to integrate the system with better services. But are the services really improved? Who knows.

Today when I think of mobile phone industry and the computing industry, I can sense how much the world has changed. These days’ smartphone business is all about either Android phones or iPhones, which would not have been same if Nokia had begun to innovate and develop its crops modeled according to latest consumer needs.

How can Microsoft flop? Windows phone was supposed to be a good competitor; their billion-dollar plan had a great strategy then why is it not a success yet. I wonder if windows phone can ever become a triumph. Because presently there are not many people who would consider buying a Nokia smartphone device that is being crafted by Microsoft. There is a long way to go for the company to change the current industry dynamics.  Well, whatever happens to the phone business, if I ever have a list of ‘industries that fascinates me’, I would definitely have Microsoft in it, after Apple.

P.S. The World is going from Nano to Pico, where Micro would surely need a solid comeback if it wants to survive in this wild market.

Where in the world I was!

Weeks into months, and months into the year, that’s how fast we’re growing in this sphere
Last evening I decided and drew a fine line, to catch the beautiful sunset at the perfect time
From the top of the city, I viewed my town, it was bright loud and cosmically adorn
30 kilometers far, away from the hustle, I witnessed the beauty so subtle
The endless blue sky and golden colors of sun, made me stand there and remain stunned
Finding a gadget was my next action, I wanted to create a souvenir as a collection
I’m born in the era of digital films, I like to develop textures and prints
Today I’m caught in the beauty of nature, I don’t want to create but click and capture
My camera gets the real credit, as the picture has no cuts or edit
With the sun going down and fading its light, I saw the magical din of the night
One thing I want to highlight, my best moment was to watch the beautiful twilight
From evening till night, I was totally lost, it didn’t matter where in the world I was!

Let’s Hope Realpolitik!

Politics – isn’t the word appealing and frightening at the same time. I have seen people taking a step back when they hear about government and politics. I did not know the most reputable word of the country would sound so terrific to most people.

Politicians come and go, the crown endures. This interesting saying applies well to the Indian Political System. Despite having the legendary heroes who selflessly contributed throughout their lives, we do not sense the satisfaction while speaking about the governance. Looking at the current scenario, someone has to try and build up the reputation of reform for the actual growth of the nation. I believe, the epic Prime Minister Narendra Modi walk tall over any other politician for that matter. This is just an opinion; perhaps I am not any political blogger.

These political thoughts arrived in my head during my recent visit to Mumbai where I experienced this breathtaking adventure of driving on the Bandra-Worli Sea link. It is indeed one of the most astonishing landmarks of the country. Pure Magic! What caught my attention was the block lettered blue color welcome board ‘RAJIV GANDHI SEA LINK’; like really? It looks like a tradition in India where all the very important assets of the country need to be named after the Gandhi family. Indira Gandhi International Airport, Rajiv Gandhi National Park, Indira Gandhi Stadium, and list continue. I wonder why is it so, Political power is the answer.

Well in my fairness, I totally honor the decisions and undoubtedly Gandhi family has given us some extraordinarily skilled politicians; and unfortunately gave us Rahul Gandhi. With having Rahul Gandhi as a leader I am not sure if Congress can really bounce back to the current situation. Also, where majors like Digvijay Singh and Shashi Tharoor are raising the voice against the trend, clearly the party needs some serious modifications.

Wait! That’s not my cynosure here. How much effect the government has on the country or its people. When I talk effect I mean development. A few days back I watched President Obama talking about the letter he received with a list of possible women to put on the dollar bills. I think that’s one of the most powerful ideas to execute in the nation where we strongly favor women empowerment. We have had some legendary females who fought incredibly hard for the nation’s right.  Then why not in India, instead of featuring only Mahatma Gandhi’s face, we use the women portraits on the Indian currency. The reason would again be Politics, may be!

That’s all a bunch of random opinions and I know there are many such opinions and concerns, which bothers thousands of us every day. All that we can and we should do is ‘Trust Our Government’ and ‘Raise Our Opinion’ to create the real difference. Let’s hope realpolitik!

Just A Trifle

It was early, cloudy and dark
I opened my eyes and peeked apart.
Seven it showed when I tried to eye
Went back to sleeping right at that time.
After five minutes, I woke up prime
Again then I saw, saw the actual time ^_^
Unable to believe that it turned half past nine.
ONE MORE TIME

I thought I’ll get up, I did the same
My bed was calling me, when it was ten.
Couldn’t ignore and soon the sleep caught me up
A sudden cloudburst – unexpectedly woke me up.
I blinked the eyes, not just once but twice
And the clock shinned Eleven:TwentyFive.
Oh my plans, I finally realized
Quickly I’ll move out of bed, I finalized.
While adjusting the pillow I decided Nahh..
I fluffed on my bed for one more hour.
The doorbell rings;
Cook comes in!
Her presence would help me, thats what I thought
She brought me food right on board.
I decided on eating so I get energized
The meal was heavy, I won’t deny.
Getting off the bed was getting real tough
And, I decided to relax for the rest of the buff.

Wuthering Verdict

After the whole long justice process, the much-awaited verdict came out. People are breaking into debates and media is running amok.

DRUNK > NO LICENSE > STILL DRIVING > LOSE CONTROL > CLIMBS TO FOOTPATH > RUNS ON PEOPLE > KILL THEM > ACCIDENT > HOMICIDE > CRIME  > XXXXX  Now, if you happen to be a celebrity of Salman Khan variety then only you can try on getting away with everything otherwise it’s an open and shut case since Day-One.

We all know the case; no one can justify the act or reduce the moment, then why to plead for mercy.

Many of us believe that charity can never cancel out the crime, hence justice. Wait! Is delayed justice, a justice! Why do in India we always have justice being delayed. There are criminals, rapist, and murderers roaming freely all around, and final judgment is yet to be announced. In #SalmanKhanCase finally, a verdict came out when the exact case is already faded away. FIVE YEARS IN JAIL. I thought the aim of the criminal law was never about punishing, harassing, or demoralizing the culprit but to reform making the person a better human. Khan, in last thirteen years, has come a long way and mended himself to be a better person, a compassionate human. Somewhere we all know that Salman will never commit such a crime again. THEN WHY JAIL?

And at this time, it ain’t easy to choose between the dilemma of bearing the judgment and bracing the individual. Therefore, I sensed an expression of acute responsibility in Alia Bhatt’s comment -“It hurts when your own are punished, even if they are in the wrong. We love you and are standing by you.”

What baffles me is that after roaming freely on bail for 13 dragged years, now comes a family driver saying he was at the wheel. Besides sacrifice being one effective method in Indian tradition, was this really a great thought on the part of defense. This is sure that owning up and Being-Human will never be needed as the road ahead is paved with possibilities. Khan can challenge the judgment in high & the highest courts apart from the other legal solutions. Also, the pace at which the decisions are coming out, and the way nation is rooting for him, he will never be put behind the bars.

I honor the fact that – law is flat for all and the wheels of justice must keep moving. Also, honor that Salman Khan will always be the unbeatable superhero, for all his loyal fans. It’s a mix of what is right and what is real, all complex.

There is much to this story till the case reaches to a logical end. Together let’s stay tuned!

happy rebirth, India!

When it stroke twice in the midnight hour
I glanced at our flag flutter in sovereign air
Saffron, white and green the colorway
Devotion for tri-color is an endless survey

Sixty-seven years ago was the time
Making tryst with destiny was so divine
Legendary were the paracetamol leaders
who allayed the fevers and were pain relievers

Every patriotic heart rejoices on this occasion
For this day being our most pride possession
Whichever our vocation, whatever the field
Glorious remains the prideful feel.

No wonder we achieved lots of galore to adore
Exploding crime and poverty is still a sore.
Average income of an Indian is not more than a pie
and our inflation rates luxuriously reaching the sky.

But let us not permit this to make ourselves sad
India is thoroughly independent, and we are glad.
Her pristine beauty and purity are eternal
Our love for India is greater than maternal.

And today in the paradise of freedom
Standing on the scared soil of wisdom,
Billion souls gather ’round and roar together
Happy rebirth to you India, our mother!

Happy Independence day. Jay Hind!

When life happens, perfectly :)

I am in awe of the way God orchestrated this lovingly lovable love story.

Saturday evening, a thing so ravishing encountered~ the hitch up! YES, that’s right an excited two-seventy-month-old is now engaged! If anyone asked me a year ago if I thought I would be where I am today, I would have laughed. I had never imagined myself taking a spike of getting into a relationship this soon, but sometimes life just happens and that is what I believe is perfect.

I flash back to the other day when I was standing right in front of the mirror thinking if I can put the ring on, trust me this amazing thought only made me feel so giddily that I couldn’t really wait for the actual moment to come. I didn’t know how to be a wife or how a husband is like. All I knew was that I wanted to spend my entire life with this amazingly HOT person, and everything else can be figured out with time.

What to talk about the glory of that day…the sun had become dim; it was evening and excitement levels had risen to its zenith.

The story finally kicked off.

SHE~ beautifully dressed in sparkling neon took a deep breath and walked out the carpet along with her greatest brother who turned everything existing there in the brightest possible way. Everyone was running on to the side of the carpet to glance at the woman of the auspicious evening. Few feet away from the peachy view, a group of people with cameras and lights were videotaping and capturing EACH MOVE of this fantastic occasion, yes each move because wonderful memories go by quickly. Lights, colors, people, and that astonishing moment when the proud parents with a heart full of love and emotion watched their sweet little daughter walking towards the new chapter of her life…Adorable! It all looked classy and marshaled.

In the midst of everything, everyone’s eyes got stuck for a while when the man in blue arrived. HE was brimmed with happiness. People watched them, he held her hand…she grinned at him and they together walked into the arena. By now, almost everyone seemed to have gathered to observe the ceremony. After few more minutes, it finally begun. The couple looked stunning; their faces were lighted up into the grand smile. Red color TIKA with Gudd-Dhaniya, whole tradition was properly followed. Nikita, beautiful lady dressed in white and pink, carried the delicate rings. First was her turn, and then was his. Bells and whistles. Love and commitment. Everyone was filled with excitement and wonder. And those continuous bursts of paper butterflies glorified the celebrations, what a festival! It was really a beautiful engagement. Also, it got emotional for a while as there were hugs and tears too. Everything worked out perfectly!

Newly engaged couple with blushing faces glanced at each other and went strolling all around. They were profoundly overcome by shaking hands and sweet blessings for new life. And rest of the time was blessed with a set up of special delights in that beautiful green vale, oh yes they chose the best place for this engagement session – a place that’s obviously going to hold many memories. Evening was extremely brilliant, and the story has just begun, stay tuned for the next phase.:)

Flashh! I felt like I’m building an imaginary fairy tale story while penning down the engagement ^_^ My head is currently in clouds, as I am almost in disbelief that I finally found the one I had been admiring in my dreams, the man that I am marrying. Truly, it gives me a beautiful feeling every time I look at my pretty little ring. I love it, the most beautiful thing. Thanks, Abhijeet. I don’t think I have ever been that crazy, ridiculously joyful or surprised! It was right in that moment that I saw the rest of my life before my eyes…my wildest dreams coming true, all with you. Xx

ďťżEndlessly Smitten~

Twenty-two years old. It means I have entered twenty-three. And twenty-three is almost 25, which is like the mid-20s. Well, I am in my perfect age again!

Before anything, I wonder where did the last couple of years go! Since I was in my teen I dug my nose in the books which helped me in getting the first couple A’s in my life, Singing and dancing my heart out, catching up with friends, dining out with family, snuggling on the couch while watching movies, long phone conversations with random friends, caring for attendance, then that evening when I walked to my college graduation followed by LONDON ^_^ It was all going okay; and all of a sudden I took the brave chance to join my dad’s business. Oldie enough, but this made my life take a new special turn. Oh yes, here it goes for how my new year started. Check out!

My peers believe that I was fortunate enough to grow up quite quickly as I never knew that I would be where I am today. I have always loved being by myself, my own breath is all I have always heard, but the other day, to be specific, the 13th day of February, I got along with the most incredible sensation. It will take a novel to explain the full significance of the whole event; however I would love to state how it exactly started.

It began with a short drive which was fueled purely by beauty; yes a little colloquy and then was the time when HE pulled the car into OUR drive and stopped at the end, a two-story castle! Where I met everyone, The Family! Everything that happened then gave me a mixed feeling, well to be true – cloud nine was touched! What next, another short drive. Now it was my turn, I took my foot off the brake pedal, the car moved forward and we made our way down the drive and went right to the restaurant, an indirect celebration for the biggest thing! We got out of the car, he smiled down at me with a wail..ya I left the car headlights ON. Argh:) First-time dinner with the family, incredibly awesome!

Nothing was planned yet it went so perfect! But that was just the beginning.. the time I am living now is the best of all possible worlds. I feel absolutely privileged! I don’t realize how the entire day goes by when I’m immersed in conversation.

Abhijeet, my world has become more beautiful, and you are the reason why!

I have never told this to you but the first thing I noticed about you was your astonishing smile, that soft expression, complimented by deep eyes that spoke volumes, it all drew me in, and since then you haven’t left my mind. I dunno when I got so sure about you, but I know that I’m all sure now- you are the one who makes me think, feel, reflect! The one who will feed my soul. I just never realized when it went so deep. It’s like I’ve known you my whole life. When you first grinned at me and I shook my head..made a complete expression that it’s gonna be alright. Unseen but eternal. Pure and magical. Moments I cherish the most! Also, when we let the music do the talking, have no words to put them here!

I feel fortunate for they chose you to stick around for the rest of my life. Happiest and blessed beyond measure! You mean the world to me. I love you more than words can say.

Your biggest fan!

Time to reach for my favorite chocolate..TADA!

Exordium !

Where do I begin, where do I end!
I am soaked in a crazy bliss, with a bit of prejudice.

Clad in my best clothes, I look deep into the mirror
And think of what is yet to come!
What I sense is a shift in the breeze behind
And hear voices in back of my mind.

Recovering my scattered ponders,
I start remembering the majesty of that day..

When I saw a face full of grace, and those strong hands
Can’t forget how confident he stands.
As I looked at him with my eyes open
I was left with just a few words spoken.

I am born in the world of desire
Until now I was in my own being, lost in my humdrum!

Well I know I’m someone’s property
That’s the reason for my wide eyes with worry.
Indeed someone else is going to be my Identity
Abiding thinking what life would bring to me.

Now a strong wind of change is blowing my way
and it’s making my every step much harder to take.
For I am really glad- this beautiful thing happened,
I need to relax, breathe and embrace this change.

Still sometimes I think it’s not going the route I planned
I have been thinking about this every day and night.
But a day like today can change my entire universe
Therefore, I wish on a star asking this new world to rhyme.

Here comes my leisure
Where I indulge in this worthwhile trade!

It forever starts in a particular fashion,
It is fiercely different with me the way it happened.
As I marched ahead, hymning in the sun
Treasure was amassed and respect was dredged.

After all the chaos I stretch, turn and twist
I know it outshines of that entire one could ever wish.
The words he will couch will make my day better
The warmth he will spread will make the bleak softer

So, from the cradle I blaze the glorious hitch up
Wish could see your flare face after this whoop up!

His dismissal!

The Man who inspired our nation is calling it a day.

It’s going to be the greatest farewell in the history of cricket. Yes! Mumbai is gearing up to bid one of the Cricket’s heroes, THE SACHIN TENDULKAR, Goodbye! ..ooO The spotlight will be on our Master Blaster, donning the white for the last time in his career, I wish he makes it memorable, one worthy of applause.

It was inevitable but wasn’t expected this early, His dismissal! When he announced his retirement many mourned the loss of an era as they can never see him batting again. Many even claimed that it would be last of them watching cricket. What he has produced now is the overpowering numbness. A lot of Enthusiasm he has been possessing in his fans, so this is going to be a bittersweet experience for all the die-hard SACHIN fans.

Here. I just added a bit to my anticipation of the master blaster’s last match at Wankhede.

It has always been a great joy in seeing the little master playing. The only question that I see people discussing these days is will Cricket ever be the same again? I know it’s hard for many to imagine cricket without SACHIN, now cricket won’t be as passionate as it used to be, maybe. He nurtured nation’s love for cricket. People have cried with him, laughed with him, tried to sound like him, tried to take a stance like him, tried to bat like him, prayed for him, even argued for him. I remember the time when my brother was just 7 or 8 years old and how he pulled my dad to a sports store and forced him to buy him a heavy bat with MRF sticker on it. HAH! I have seen kids imitating SACHIN’s action of taking a stance and have seen people hugging and smiling ear to ear every time SACHIN scored a century. Also, I’ve seen them fighting in the streets over not being out even if one was. Nation smiled with pride when he got those records, and enjoyed every bit while watching him play! SACHIN is the reason why many people started watching cricket. He is the reason why many fought for the bat to do the bating. He has been the reason for poor scores in school examinations. And now it’s the last time when we get to watch him live and I really wish that he scores a big hundred in his last match.

Now this is what we hope,

That you dazzle once again with the same JOSH.

This time, the cheers will grow ever so loud,

So bring it on SACHIN,

Make us cheer, make us smile bright.

It is true that I feel sad for my future kids as they won’t be able to watch SACHIN playing live with their dad and grandpa like I used to` Words will definitely fall short today. #SACHINSACHIN the nostalgic chant. Those nail-biting moments, desert storm innings. Everything will always reside in our memory. His scandal free career will be remembered.

SACHIN has inspired us to dream big, enriched our lives, evoked so much happiness and has inspired not just a country but generations to play cricket. Now I suppose when he is leaving, his stories will be taught as a management lesson in top B-schools and the stories of playing with a bloody nose against teams might get introduced in schools to install patriotism, courage and determination in children. He is the definition of Indian Cricketing Spirit.

India will obviously miss you, Champion!

THANK YOU SACHIN, The Legend.

Thanks for doing what you did! We shall remain eternally grateful to you.

Because grandpa told me so..

This evening I realized that life is really tough when reality becomes very real.

I promised him I wouldn’t cry when it was his time to leave,
That’s the only promise I made him I couldn’t keep..

October the twenty-seven always stirs up the saddest of memories for me and my family. It is exactly two years ago, that I lost one of the most important person in my life, my paternal grandfather, and ironically, the twenty-seventh day of October in 2011 was a New Year according to the Hindi calendar.

Remembering my grandpa is like taking a walk through my childhood years and getting mesmerized by all the fantastic stories of past. Those small memories, stories that were just between me and my bade-papa (this is what I used to call my grandpa). The truly special ones!

I don’t want to believe that he’s gone. But I need to honor the process, the absolute truth, death. He is a true icon, not even cessation of his life can take him away. Yet, as long as I can reminisce on the good times and go back to the lessons learned, my grandparents will never really leave.

His that last kiss on my forehead, I can never ever forget that! I know bade-papa would be watching us, along with badi-mumy, and our love will reach the sky and Let them know how special they are!

I love you both, and miss you really!

Bambino’13

Keeping pace with time is the panacea that take you to the zenith of glory!

Every year is a significant milestone, a time and a moment to celebrate. Thus, was the birth of the Big Event BAMBINO. It’s the annual event organized with the goal to provide a range of activities that help each one to learn more about latest to the changing world we live in.
Bambino is aptly named; it’s a perfectly blended story of the incessant efforts, eloquent expressions, innovative ideas, styles and indicative talent. It’s like the morning glory flowers which open with the rise of the sun. This scrambling annual event left the Bounds: Beating, songbirds: singing, and our audience: thrilling, all because of the performers who worked their way into a universe of hearts by presenting the magnificent splendor of delicate yet lofty dances. Live performances, food vendors, and raffle prizes everything went perfectly. And the glorious fall weather was excellent for the show.
No doubt, it took a lot of hard work in bringing the vision of this event to a reality. All of those lessons learned, best practices, knowledge and skills were implemented at the event day. Choreography, event management, costumes, probes, invitations, guest lists, anchors, volunteers and on top of everything helping each one to learn and remember the moves, dividing the work, keeping faith in people, allotting work, it all took more than forty five days to reach the day of pride.
Ultimately, the event was a great success – performers were really enthusiastic and went all intimate-style, peppering the foyer outside the classroom in a long streak of dynamics. The credit for the success also goes to the management and the technical coordinators who helped in organizing and delivering this. However, the true success of the program has always been our people. Drawing a crowd in this industry is no easy feat but we managed to pull together the biggest crowd, YES! Our event drew a whopping audience. Walkers of all ages joined us at the Evening of Gratitude.
Also, Success of the event relies heavily upon the shoulders of the anchors; they contributed in a manner that is sincere and compassionate. Applaud to our anchors! Not forgetting the committee volunteers who helped a lot with parking, security, welcoming and maintaining the decorum, among other things.
Function commenced with marching bands and guards at the Rampage for the welcoming of the guests, followed by the lightening of the lamp and ganesh vandana. It worked out exactly the way it was planned. We had lots of events like the Hippodrome, blue kidocrats, party freaks, Story of puppets, pride of Rajasthan, Street dance, and many more including the sparkling mega show. Of all the events held, Satyagrah was by far the most popular. Also, we received significant interest in RAMAYANA from audience. And finally, the event pulled off with the celebration of ‘festival of lights’ with those festive firecrackers, which made the story engrossing. The entire event moved pretty smoothly.
I learned to work under that level of high stress as I stood there near the stage, screaming at the performers to hurry, also stooped down for helping anchors, even managed going backstage for boosting the toddlers while the show was happening.
Events are always favorite times of mine; here I embarked on an incredible eye-opening experience. I thank and felicitate each member who has worked for it and has contributed to the betterment in some way or the other; we couldn’t do it without you!
The real struggle will be to keep up with everything. 🙂

The wind beneath my wings â¤

Through the words penned below, I express my deep gratitude to the most important people in my life. As each time I flapped my wings, I could feel a strong wind underneath bringing me higher until I could almost touch the sky. And whenever I looked at the vast horizon, I envisioned myself as an eagle soaring high with so much hope, dreams and aspirations, all because of the most important people in my life.

They let me fly so high. ..high against the sky.
Made me feel I could, Do anything, Go anywhere
Made me smile and laugh,
Listened when I had to talk and then when I went on and on.
Led me that extra mile when my steps faltered.
The reason for my existence, the wind beneath my wings!!
The love has brought me through ❤

The time of my life !!

It was a lazy evening.
Drawing my freshly ironed clothes near, I looked outside my bedroom window. Six days, that’s how much time has passed since that last night in London.
LONDON, City of dreams where we can make our own fairy-tales  a city that never sleeps. I still remember my first day, excited would be an understatement. It was so fun just to get up every day and be able to do whatever I wanted. Exploring new city, meeting new people, everyday dipping the wings in the orange sun rays and daring to claim the sky, it all drove me crazy!!
From a classy weather to non-stop iconic city life, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place more alive with the hustle and bustle of tourists and locals alike before. Extremely wide and beautiful, it is a sight to behold. And THAMES RIVER CRUISE PARTY, it was the perfect end to the best bit.
I’d been waiting for my dreams to turn into something I could believe in. How perfect it went! It was magical!
Now the change is brewing. The scariest part about reaching one of your dreams is preparing to reach your next one. It’s awful to wake up every day thinking “Now what’s next?” It’s intimidating, but totally inspiring at the same time. I love this time, when you feel like a free bird leaping on the back of the wind that keeps floating around.

THE TIME OF MY LIFE ! Probably, the best time of my life.
I miss you London! See you soon 🙂

Adorable Girl-friends!

Well, I was 17 when I kick started my Engineering in Jaipur. And that’s when my indigenous four years begun, where everything was unscripted and unplanned. I met beautiful people from everywhere and chose few of them with whom I could share stories and spend my time with, FRIENDS!

This post is dedicated to all those beautiful ladies I met during my four years, who need to know how special they are to me!

It began with DRISH, the first girl I met in jaipur. And yes she is the bestesssstest friend of my entire college life. All the four years went so crazy all because of her; we started exploring our college and the new city all together. She was my Roommate, Classmate, Bench mate and everything thing to me then. We have eaten together, slept together, studied, had a bath together, washed clothes, played, gone to the canteen, college, mess, library even bunked classes, stolen files, anchored together (this time’s fashion show was my personal favorite). Our dance, movies and all the things I’ll miss all of it. Will never forget how seniors “Vishakha and Deepti” shouted at us for singing so laaaooud at night, we were actually very loud that night, especially when we were singing “my immortal”:DD

Then, I had this very cool group; we were seven, very famous in college. Always seen together, made stories together and were really Awesome! And the bond is now unbreakable. I remember those beautiful days, when mornings were always smiling especially the weekend mornings. The amount we cared for each other, is the most special part. I will never forget that night when we watched Exorcism of Emily Rose!! Our hours long gossip sessions. It was Real Fun. It was Fabulous. It was an Adventure!

Here I unfold the very fragile and my most favorite ladies of all times

Our very own Cinderella who just knew three words in hindi DHUMRA-PAN, SUPUTRA and MOOTRA-VISARJAN, The Prude – Drishti Law! Drish you are the best. And I love you always.

After attending college the whole day when everyone used to be almost dead and energy-less  mini was the one who always used to keep us alive, with the gossips and sometimes we used to get in some good humor! She is the one who had her own philosophy “she’ll put grasshoppers blood into any human and then doctors will think how is this happening but no-one will never understand how this happened, so NEW INVENTION, phew!” our scientist, the activist and a feminist – Meenal Rajawat!

The girl with 478621 titles! Miss Adieu, Miss Panache and many more! The very hot, party freak, TT Champion, and the celeb – Yashvi Poonia! Poonia you are my INDIAN PRINCESS FOREVER!

Our amazingly beautiful geek, who wears a Mine craft-themed t-shirt, sleeps a lot, and knows how to spiral things in her control – Our Miss Talented – Aishwarya!

The most Safaiholic girl, who does pooja each day and is our smiling inspiration. She has been the lame queen of all times, The FRAT RAT – Ravneet Raiyat!

And now comes our social butterfly. She is the one whose life is a bit dimensional, The Socialite and yes over-committer at times – Satinder! MOTU :p

All those days when we were together, watched movies together, our payjama parties, LG’s out, outings, canteen food, I miss it all. Those rigorous 9 hours and then back to hostel, but still had energy to Chit-o-chat, how crazy we were! It was the time when wafers and cold drinks used to be our food every day, we went to every place together, went for late night parties, even got up early morning for the BASKETBALL practices, oh yes, and how confidently we used to go to play TABLE-TENNIS, HAHA our champion yashvi, all credits for TT and those fashion shows goes to you. We made fun of each other, loved each other, inspired and motivated each other whenever required, and went crazy with each other. I miss all that, a lot! We had all the fun, there were tough times though. Attending those lectures, submissions, exams, practical, assignments but we did it and I’m so freaking proud of us. Love you all, A LOT!!

Apart from my college friends, made these sweetest friends NEHA, SHUBHANGI and CHINI. You were the best people I stayed with! 🙂 CHINI, all I want to say to you is I miss you, really truly!

Then I had this group of people around BHANU, NITI, SHIKHA and another SHIKHA (basically two shikhas) and HIMANI (cutest of all), you guys were the best.

Going at random places was always on the top of our fuss list! I still remember the day when that police people caught us for we were not wearing the helmet. Trust me those rides with you were the craziest of all. I remember the day when you came from Mumbai, I was sleeping and how you SAT ON ME, yes you did that :/, and hugged me so tight. Aww, I miss you HIMANIi!

And the best jodi award goes to BHANU and NITI! Can never ever forget how madly we used to talk till 5 in the morning every day. Those Letters, Cards, Gifts and all the things you gave me, means a lot. On top of everything your love will be remembered and the moments spent together will be cherished always. Thank you for being so nice and making our friendship so special. Love!

SHIKHA, you know how much I love your height. Wish mein thodi aur badi hoti 😀 And the other SHIKHA. What to say about her. Her favorite DHAMKI “mein poison kha lungi” haha that was fun. After she is gone to bombay the little girl has become so busy. I miss you both and miss that Perfect Cup of Coffee! :p

The sweetest stupid thing – SHIVANGI!! It was all going good; we had the great time together. But then she went to pune and long distance relationships!! Wish we could stay together for longer. You are missed more than anyone! Love you!

SWATI-APRAJITA-AISHWARYA! No, how can I forget the bestest of all the things. You guys were truly mad. Those long highway drives. SWATI, you have no idea how much I miss your RED-FIGO, I still love her. Best was the day when we stopped at some random THADI at Delhi highway, and that guy came to us asking for the ‘help’ HAHAHA!!

After all that beautiful things I went to pune! I shall talk about that part later. But must mention POOJA DI and NEHA the most amazingly caring ladies! I Love you both! 🙂

Other then all these lovely people there were so many around who helped me survive throughout these years. ANTIMA, CHAHETI, DEEPIKA, INDU, ASHA, BHASKAR, HEENA, ANJANA, ADITI, MONIKA(who made all the moments so funny), FALGUNI, AKANSHA, NISIHA. You all will always be remembered.

And the very intelligent, Miss FRESHERS of our batch- Avni Sharma, her roll number was just before mine so we always gave all the exams together. I learned cheating so well with her. All those times when she used to say “I have already studied all this, tu ye padhle” BEST!! Microprocessor wasn’t that easy, but I got 79. A credit goes to SHRUTI DI. Thank you so much! And the other exams of my 5th semester were not that tough, all because of you UTTARA. Thanks Man!

I spent one of the greatest times with this girl ANKITA, due to our attendance issues we used to go college and sit for the whole day doing nothing. :DD #Memories  How can I forget those end moment studies with you RAVIZA! And that moment when you called me ALKA and said “WAH AYUSHI, College mein first Company for the placement and you are placed!! ” You were the first one to inform Alka And I was on CLOUD NINE, i swear! Thanks, Will always remember you. JULIE-the Cutest thing. No Julie, I’m never gonna forget how madly we planned for our Graduation Party! HAHA :p

Lastly, these beautiful people PRIYANKA (PD) and RASHMI (Rash), my flat mates! Oh yes, my favorite bitches of all the time. You guys know my ugliest side. When I’m sad, you were always there to make sure I’m okay. Even though we disagree sometimes, we never fight. Thank you for always being there. We Cooked, we bitched, we talked about everything all together. Our late night walks! Awesome! Miss it all.

PD, we shared so much. You never say NO for anything, love that thing of you! I’m the biggest fan of your acting. Trust me the best thing about you is YOU so, be the same always! And Rash, you are truly adorable. Your dedication towards your studies motivates me a lot :’) I can never forget Dec’12, the best time spent with you. I’m always going to cherish those beautiful moments. Love!

World’s greatest girl-friends, who made me laugh louder, smile brighter and live better!

Friends Forever â¤ It’s a promise, not a label!

A Cyborg ^_^

A Cyborg is the one that could do anything and everything it wants to. Wish I could become a cyborg anytime I wanted, one like a BATMAN and then be able to do many things I can’t do now, could travel the world. HAH!

Is that ever possible? I think it would be fun to be a cyborg, I mean I would have internet connection in my head then, and would be in demand too!! 😀

Or maybe I have had a friend one like that who would keep a check on my things, clean my room, Cook delicious and healthy meals for me, protect me, take me anywhere I want to go at anytime, screen and field my calls, do my things when I feel lazy doing them, answer my e-mails, keep a calendar for me, even act as a reminder.

I just thought about having my cyborg write blog posts for me, but realized I enjoy that too much!

I would name my cyborg as “World’s Greatest Secretary” and what if in return it would mutter, I’m not a secretary! 😀

Anyway, I love doing my things at my own and don’t like others doing it. So, life without a cyborg is even COOLER, I doubt! 😛

You mean a lot!

My first post here to one of the closest person in my life my CHINI. You are one of those best things happened to me. I really can not mention all of it but to start with you are the one who was always there for me, doesn’t matter what.

You are really truly special to me. And trust me I’m going to miss you like anything. I’ll miss all the things we have done together our happy rides, those evening walks, stupid dances, paintings, movies, shopping, shows, TAPRI, chaisa, replay, statue, crossword, COFFEE, “Bais-Godam” (one of the most happiest place for us :D) and on top of everything our evening tea and how I used to make it worst for you all the time, okay that’s between you and me (not mentioning), but then too you was always good to me, Also we cooked hundreds of feast in our most messy kitchen ever, HALWA (never be forgotten), it was always perfect and delicious. And that night (Ritika’s birthday), oh yes, that’s the craziest of all the crazy things we have done together. I remember how madly we used to play those FACEBOOK games, GTA-vice city, MARIO (unforgettable), and other silly games. That was fun, I swear!! But my favorite part of the whole – THE GRAFITY WALL!! Best!

I’ll miss it all always. You are like a family to me now, from my food, clothes to all other stuff you took care of everything every time. You exactly know what all I like and what I don’t like. I truly don’t know anyone here who can care like you do. You are like a sister, a mother, a friend with whom I can share anything and everything and someone who always understood me even when I did not speak a word. You were always a helping hand whenever I used to get mixed up with my things. You stopped me from doing the wrong things and showed the right way.

Thank you for you were always there to listen to my bakbak, I know I was like a windbag to you and yes! you are a pretty good listener. Trust me you are one of those few people I adore and cherish. No matter how many friends I have and no matter where I go, you will always be the most special person I have ever had. I know your heart would be so full of love the moment you’ll read this. :)Thank you for everything!Be the same. Love!
